What Would Your Internet Search History Say About You?

Today, I had to do some research for a scene I was writing in my current project. Basically, I have two emotionally traumatized characters who are in an ambulance, and I needed to know what medication would paramedics administer to relax them and reduce their anxiety. The internet made it easy to find the information in minutes. Problem solved, and I could finish my scene.

That got me to thinking how if someone pulled my internet search history, they would think I had some strange interests that fit into a wide range of categories. Just for this book I am writing, I’ve searched medications, parts to a doorknob, locking mechanisms, setting broken bones, and synonyms of random words. For some resumes I have written over the last few weeks, I have searched for different types of computer programming, coding, languages, etc. in addition to military terms, USAID projects, and business management trainings. Then, I have searches on the weather, movies, shows, pollen count, books, local criminal warrants, sex offender registry, and other various topics that have caught my attention.

After evaluating my internet search history, I think it shows my eclectic personality! I’m all over the place and maybe a little odd. However, being a little odd makes life so much more interesting.

Take a look at your internet history sometime. It could be very eye-opening and could reveal aspects of yourself that you were not aware were in you.
